New Attachment Point on Right Main Floor Shielding
Depending on the production date, new shielding parts have to have the attachment points for the right main floor shield punched into its surface at specified locations.
A. Hole Punching the Shielding
1. Starting with production March 1, 2008, the inner right attachment point of the right main floor shielding has moved. The part number for the right main floor shielding is now A204 682 79 71 and replaces A 204 682 04 71. This new part can be used on the 204 as of production March 2008. The mounting hole is no longer made in this shielding.
2. Up to production February 29, 2008, marking A (Figure 1) has to be punched out as an elongated hole. There is no longer any guide embossed on the shielding at marking A and a threaded connection must be made with the combined nut/washer referred to in parts information below.
3. Starting with production March 3, 2008, marking B (Figure 1) has to be punched out as an elongated hole.
