GF07.61-P-5001VB Voltage Supply Of ME-SFI Control Unit, Function

Component Identification:

Component Identification:

Circuit 87 relay and the engine are supplied with power from circuit 30z.
If the relay has closed the power contact, power is supplied via the relay from circuit 30z via two fuses as tml. 87 M1 (required for engine running) and tml. 87 M2 (not essential for engine running) to the ME control unit and engine control.

Circuit 87 relay and engine are actuated by the ME control unit on the ground side when the incoming signal "tml. 15 fused On" from the EIS control unit is detected by the ME control unit.

If the ME control unit detects the signal "tml. 15 Fused Off" from the EIS control unit, circuit 87 relay continues to be actuated by ME control unit until computer power down is complete.
In this way, the ME control unit determines the pick-up and holding of the relay for circuit 87.
Once the computer has powered down, the relay for circuit 87 is disconnected and the ME control unit and engine control are isolated from the on-board electrical system.

The ME control unit is supplied to the following terminals with the voltage:
Coupling F, Pin 3: Circuit 87 M1 via fuse 53
Coupling F, Pin 5: Circuit 87 M2 via fuse 54
Coupling F, Pin 15: Circuit 15 (detection of ignition ON/OFF)
Coupling F, Pin 16: Circuit 30z (memory supply, with 5 A fuse protection)
Coupling F, Pin 27: Terminal 87 relay actuation (ground)

Ground connections are made via coupling 2, pins 2, 4 and 6.

The ME control unit features a short-circuit protection as well as a reversed polarity protection in the operating voltage section.

Voltage supply: refer to Wiring Diagrams, Group 54.
