Complaint:

Intermittent uncomfortable jolting when moving off.

Cause:

Delayed power transmission when closing the wet start-up clutch (NAK)

NOTE:
1. Oil level in transmisssion too low.

2. Valve body out of specification

Remedy:

NOTE:
The vehicle must be reexamined for the complaint after each of the three operation steps described below.

1a. Check oil level and correct if necessary.

1b. Update software.

NOTE:
Flashware available as of DAS 10/2008 with the following new features:

^ "C" mode: Moving off in 2nd gear

^ "S" and "S+" mode: Moving off when cold in 2nd gear, up to transmission oil temperature of 20°C.

1C. Perform touch-point adaptation at 40°C transmission oil temperature in "S" mode.

NOTE:
Only when absolutely essential. The re-adaptation erases all previously learned values for NAK adaptation; they are only fully adapted in all temperature ranges after a certain period of operation.

2. Replace valve body housing.

NOTE:
Modified valve body housing in series production as of approx. 10/2008. As of VIN: 230470 1F 152965 or transmission/major assembly no. 722930 01 968015.
