Function description for dynamic multicontour seat, general
The multicontour seats (MCS [MKS]) can be adjusted individually. The contour and the surface hardness of the backrest as well as the air cushions in the side area of the backrest can be adjusted independently of each other by inflating and deflating the particular air cushions.

The individual functions can be adjusted via the right front multicontour backrest switch group (S108) or via the left front multicontour backrest switch group (S109).

Adherence to the set pressure values as well as the specified pressures of the individual cushion areas is continuously being regulated.

The right front multicontour backrest switch group (S108) or the left front multicontour backrest switch group (S109) can be used to manually adjust the contours of the different air cushions, actuated by the left front multicontour backrest control unit (N32/15) or right front multicontour backrest control unit (N32/16), in the multicontour seat by inflating and deflating.

The air cushions in the front seats are arranged as follows:
- One air cushion each in the left and right backrest side area,
- One dual chamber air cushion (lumbar support dual cushion) in the upper lumbar area,
- One dual chamber air cushion in the lower lumbar area,
- One dual chamber air cushion in the shoulder area.

During the massage function "dynamic lumbar support", a pulsation occurs alternately in both lumbar support dual cushions starting in the active air cushion.

After the program has ended, the original cushion pressures are restored. The pulsation takes place in pressure jumps in the upward or downward direction.

When the pulse function is switched on (massage function), the following are actuated automatically:
- One dual chamber air cushion in the lower lumbar area,
- One dual chamber air cushion in the upper lumbar area.

The multicontour seat system comes in a version for the left and in a version for the right seat.

The pneumatic controller unit with combined functions (A37) ensures the compressed air supply.

Priorities
When several functions are requested at the same time, only the adjustment motion with the highest priority is executed.
Priority 1: Lumbar support
Priority 2: Shoulder cushion
Priority 3: Lateral backrest support
Priority 4: Dynamic lumbar support (massage function)
