Heated wiper park position, general
The wiper park position heater is used to ensure that the wiper blades are not frozen onto the windshield.

Heated wiper park position function sequence
The driver SAM control unit (N10/10) records the outside temperature via the outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14).

At an outside temperature of T < 6 °C, the wiper park position heater (R2/10) is switched on by the driver SAM control unit.

After max. t = 25 min (depending on the engine temperature, vehicle speed signal, value of the sun sensor and the windshield wiper actuations), the wiper park position heater is switched off by the driver SAM control unit.
