Location
The blower motor is located to the right below the glove box in the heater or air conditioning housing.

Task
According to the position of the fresh air/recirculation flap, the blower motor delivers fresh air or interior air through the heater or air conditioning housing into the vehicle interior. Depending on the setting of the blower setting, the automatic heater control and operating unit (N18) (without code (580) Automatic air conditioning and without code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning), the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (with code (580) Automatic air conditioning) or the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) transmits a control signal from 0 to 100 % via the AC bus to the blower regulator (A32n1).

The blower regulator then regulates the operating voltage for the blower motor. This allows the blower speed to be continuously regulated in stages from 0 to 100 %.
