Component Identification:

Location
The duo valve is located on the right-hand side of the engine compartment.

Task
The duo valve regulates the coolant flow through the heater heat exchanger separately for the right and left side.
The closing and opening times of the duo valve depend on the target temperature that has been selected in the vehicle interior.

The duo valve is actuated directly by the automatic heater control and operating unit (N18) (without code (580) Automatic air conditioning and without code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning), by the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (with code (580) Automatic air conditioning) or from the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) via the AC bus.
