Maximum speed limit, general points
For vehicles with the corresponding engine power, the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10) limits the maximum speed to 250 km/h.
The ME-SFI control unit receives the vehicle speed information over the engine compartment CAN (CAN C) from the ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5).

Maximum speed limit function sequence
if 250 km/h is reached, the ME-SFI control unit reduces the opening angle of the throttle valve actuator (M16/6) and the injection time of the fuel injection valves (Y62).

These measures ensure simple maximum speed limitation the reduction of the engine torque.
