GF91.29-P-4000TX Seat Adjusting Motors Position Measurement Function

GF91.29-P-4000TX Seat Adjusting Motors Position Measurement Function
- with CODE (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
- with CODE (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)

Function requirements:
^ No overvoltage
^ No undervoltage
^ Normalizing of forward/back adjustment

Function
At the driver seat adjustment motor group with memory (M27) and front passenger seat adjustment motor group with memory (M28) there is one Hall sensor per adjustment motor for the position measurement of the seat adjustment. The Hall sensor signals are read in by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1), checked for plausibility and counted in the position counter in order to measure the position.

The received Hall pulses are evaluated as positive or negative according to the actuation voltage of the motor.

Function if rear seats are unlocked
To prevent a collision between the front passenger seat and the unlocked rear seats, the corresponding message is supplied by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) over the CAN interior and transmitted to the passenger-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/2) when unlocking.

Procedure if rear seats are unlocked
^ The fore/aft adjustment is moved 150 mm behind the front-most stop, if the front passenger seat is located more than 150 mm behind the front-most stop.
^ If the fore/aft adjustment of the passenger seat is located less than 150 mm behind the front-most stop, it can only be adjusted to the rear up to the 95 % position.

Once the rear backrest is locked again, the seat does not move back to the initial position. However, if the rear seat backrest is locked, a fore/aft adjustment of the front passenger seat is possible again over the entire range of adjustment.

Head restraint presetting (not ECE and (United Kingdom))
The position of the head restraint is automatically preset by each seat control unit depending on the fore/aft adjustment position. The head restraint presetting function can be switched on and off in the seat control unit via STAR DIAGNOSIS.
