Component Identification:

Location
The coolant circulation pump is located at the right front of the engine compartment.

Task
The coolant circulation pump is used:
- when the engine is running to backup or
- when the residual engine heat utilization or stationary heater are active (for code (228) stationary heater) to pump coolant through the heater heat exchanger.

Function
The coolant circulation pump is actuated via the passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) from the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (without code (581) comfort automatic air conditioning) or from the comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) (for code (581) comfort automatic air conditioning).
