The left rear automatic belt retractor with integral emergency tensioning retractor is positioned together with the left rear ETR squib, and the right rear automatic belt retractor with integral emergency tensioning retractor is positioned together with the right rear ETR squib below each of the covers on the C-pillar on the left and right side of the vehicle.

Task
The left rear and right rear emergency tensioning retractor eliminates seat belt slack in the event of a head-on collision or a rear end collision and prevents the film reel effect of the left rear or right rear seat belt from occurring.
