N26/9 Special vehicle multifunction control module (SVMCM)

Location
The special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU [MSS]) is at the rear right wheel arch.

Task
The special vehicle multifunction control unit (MSS) has the following tasks:
- Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components

Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)

Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Two-way radio (A49) (accessories)
- Radio data transmission two-way radio (A49/5) (accessories)
- Emergency alarm system cancel button (S62/5)

- Emergency alarm system activation button (S62/6)
(with code (934) Taxi emergency alarm system)

Interior CAN
The signals are read in by the special vehicle multifunction control unit (MSS) via the interior CAN. The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Actuation of components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN

Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Two-way radio (accessories)
- Radio data transmission two-way radio (accessories)
- Taximeter (A50) (with code (336) Preinstallation for taximeter installation)
- Taximeter control unit (A67n1)
(with code (337) Taximeter integrated in rearview mirror)
- Roof sign lamp (E14/4)
(with code (342) Roof sign lamp connection for taxi)

Interior CAN
The signals are transmitted by the special vehicle multifunction control unit (MSS) via the interior CAN.
