Emergency braking mode, general
In the event of a fault, the brake pressure simulator is deactivated (fall back level) and the simulated pedal resistance is no longer required. The driver then exceeds the free travel (3) and generates the required braking pressure with the power of his foot as in a conventional brake system. This in turn results in a somewhat longer pedal travel than under normal operation.

The distribution of the brake pressures to front and rear axles is realized by a brake pressure distribution in the hydraulic unit traction system. The brake pressure generation and boost are then realized by the BAS brake booster and hydraulic unit traction system.
