Function
The signals of the interior central locking switch and ATA function display (N72/1s6) are transmitted by the upper control panel control module (N72/1) to then controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B).

The EIS control module (N73) reads in the signals and actuates the locking and locking the central locking (CL) depending on the:
^ Status of the CL
^ Door status (signal of left front door contact switch (S17/3) and right front door contact switch (S17/4) from rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via CAN-B)

When locking the interior central locking switch the fuel filler flap always remains unlocked.

The following situations are possible:

Driver's door open.
^ All door except the driver's door are locked
^ Fuel filler flap remains open

Passenger door or driver and passenger door open:
^ Locking disabled

Locking from outside with transmitter key (A8/1):
^ Only locking allowed

Unlocking from outside with transmitter key (A8/1):
^ Full function if no door is open
