Easy entry/exit feature, driver seat, function
The driver seat is moved to the entry/exit position to make it easier for the driver to get out of the car.

The entry/exit position is adopted when the states of the ignition key position and door contact change as listed above.

With the easy entry/exit feature, the following information is read out and processed by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory over the CAN interior:
^ Rear SAM control unit transmits the status of the left front door contact switch
^ EIS [EZS] control unit transmits the circuit status
^ The instrument cluster (A1) sends easy entry/exit feature active
^ Left front door control unit transmits the status of the left front seat adjustment switch group

If all conditions are fulfilled and if during the actuation no abort conditions are registered, then the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory actuates the fore/aft motor, which moves the driver seat into the entry/exit position.

Repetition safeguard
If the ignition key is inserted and withdrawn repeatedly, then the entry/exit position and the driving position will be actuated repeatedly. To prevent this, the number of cycle is limited to 5.

The counter is reset, if the ignition key is turned to circuit 15R "ON"or the status of the driver door is changed.
