Component Identification:

Purpose
The heated seats in the rear are controlled via the left rear HS [SIH] switch or the right rear HS [SIH] switch (S51/4s2) located on the door panels in the rear. The feedback ("ON/OFF") is provided via an LED display on the left rear and right rear HS [SIH] switches.

Function
Each actuation of the left rear or right rear HS [SIH] switches is read in by the left rear door control unit (N69/3) and right rear door control unit (N69/4) and transmitted via the CAN interior to the HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit (N25/7). If the heated seats are switched on, an LED indicator lamp indicates the corresponding actuation in the left rear or right rear HS [SIH] switch

The left rear and right rear HS [SIH] switch are designed such as each actuation of the switch advances the heated seats by one stage.
