GF40.15-P-0001-03TXE Tire Pressure Monitor (RDK) Displaying Tire Inflation Pressure
GF40.15-P-0001-03TXE Tire pressure monitor (RDK) displaying tire inflation pressure
- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens)
Tire pressure display
The absolute pressure of individual tires is displayed in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).
System messages
Brief fading in of this system message
This is the case, if after an ignition start current values are still not available from the TPM wheel sensor. The same applies, if TPM wheel sensors are exchanged or other wheels are fitted. In these cases the tire pressure monitor system checks whether changes have occurred in the position of the wheels. The pressure values are only displayed when a clear assignment has been detected by the system.
Individual wheel detection and management by the tire pressure monitor TPM
Detection of wheels and wheel sensors after the start of a journey:
^ Detects known wheels after 1 minute, at a speed of more than 25 km/h
^ Detects new wheels after a maximum of 3 minutes, at a speed of more than 25 km/h
^ Detects a missing TPM wheel sensor after a maximum of 10 minutes, at a speed of more than 25 km/h
The TPM [RDK] control unit (N88) evaluates the signals from the TPM wheel sensors and stores the corresponding wheel IDs.
Automatic axle assignment after the start of a journey:
^ Axle assignment of known wheels at a speed of more than 25 km/h (confirmation)
^ Axle assignment of new wheels under 300 seconds at a speed of more than 25 km/h (e.g. spare wheel fitted)
Automatic side assignment after the start of a journey:
^ Side assignment of wheels (front axle), after a maximum of 360 seconds at a speed of more than 25 km/h by evaluating signals from the front wheel antenna (TPM)
^ Side assignment of wheels (rear axle), after a longer journey with several curves at a speed of 35 to 80 km/h (by evaluating the steering angle and the different rear left and right wheel speeds)
