GF42.45-P-4810FQ Yaw Rate Sensor For Lateral and Longitudinal Acceleration, Component Description
MODEL 218

Illustrated on model 218.3

B24/15 Yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor

Location
The yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor is located below the driver's seat on the vehicle floor.

Task
The yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor measures the rotational speed about the vertical axis.
The integrated lateral acceleration sensor (AY sensor) measures the lateral acceleration.
The integrated longitudinal acceleration sensor (AX pickup) determines the pitching motion.
The respective signals are sent over the vehicle dynamics CAN (CAN H) from the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) (except code (233) DISTRONIC PLUS) or from the Premium Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/7) (with code (233) DISTRONIC PLUS).
