AN82.61-P-0001-06ECA Retrofit MOST Fiber Optic Cable Wiring Harness
- with CODE (537) Digital radio
- with CODE (810) Sound system
- with CODE (863) Digital/analog TV tuner


1 Remove optical fiber (1) from power supply wiring harness (2).

Observe installation position of optical fiber (1). The coupling (3) will be attached to the media interface control unit at a later time.

2 Attach protective sheaths (4), as shown, in area of coupling (3) at optical fiber (1).







3 Route optical fiber (1) along the broken line from the installation location (arrow A) of the media interface control unit into the audio equipment's slot.

Route optical fiber (1) behind crossmember (5).

The coupling (3) must be routed to the installation location (arrow A) of the media interface control unit.

4 Wrap wiring harness of AUX jack electrical connector (X39/45) with felt tape, strap it down and fix it in place using cable tie.
5 Fix optical fiber (1) in place using cable ties at vehicle wiring harness (arrows B).










6 Remove coupling (9) of vehicle's own optical fiber (7) from black 34-pin coupling (6).
7 Remove blue fuse (8) from coupling (9) of vehicle's own optical fiber (7).
8 Remove optical fiber 3 (7.1) of vehicle's own optical fiber (7) from input contact cavity (arrow C) of coupling (9).

Observe arrows on coupling (9).

9 Remove protective sheath (4) from fiber optic cable 3 (7.1).







10 Remove blue fuse (8) from coupling (10) of optical fiber (1).
11 Remove optical fiber 1 (1.1) from input contact cavity (arrow C) of coupling (10).

Observe arrows on coupling (10).

12 Install optical fiber 1 (1.1) in free contact cavity of coupling (9).
13 Install blue fuse (8) in coupling (9).
14 Attach protective sheath of optical fiber 3 (7.1) to optical fiber 1 (1.1).
15 Remove optical fiber 2 (1.2) from contact cavity (arrow D) of coupling (10).
16 Install coupling (9) in outer slot at black 34-pin coupling (6).
17 Connect optical fiber 3 (7.1) and optical fiber 2 (1.2) with connection piece (11).

The connection piece (11) is an adapter to close the ring of the optical fiber again.
Optical fiber 3 (7.1) and optical fiber 2 (1.2) must audibly engage.

18 Lock connection piece (11) by pressing it together.
