Complaint
^ Air conditioning inoperative.
^ Electric refrigerant compressor inoperative.
^ Fault code "current and stored" in ME17.7 control unit (see control unit fault code).
Cause
Open circuit in power supply (high voltage) to electric A/C compressor (A9/5).
Remedy
1. Remove voltage from high-voltage on-board electrical system in compliance with the valid safety information.
2. Unplug high-voltage connector from control unit N82/2 (battery management).
3. Unplug high-voltage connector from control unit A9/5 (electric A/C compressor).
4. Check wiring harness from connector 1 pin 1 of control unit N82/2 (battery management) to connector 1 pin 1 of control unit A9/5 (electric A/C compressor) for continuity (see attachment 1).
5. If there is an open circuit, replace control unit N129/1 (power electronics) which contains the HV wiring harness.
