51 44 001 Removing and installing/replacing headlining







When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove driver's side head restraint
- Remove front seats on the front passenger side
- Remove roofliner cover







Release expanding rivet (1).
Undo the headlining (2) at the clips (3).







IMPORTANT: Perform the following repair work with a second person to give assistance.

Undo the edge protection (1) at the door/luggage compartment lid cutout around the headlining (2).
Remove the headlining (2) through the front passenger side door aperture.

Installation note:
Make sure edge protection (1) is correctly seated.
