Seat Belt: Service and Repair

72 11 033 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right seat belt







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove side trim panel







Installation note:
- Powerlok screws (Duo Taptite) must be replaced and must not be reused
- Powerlok screws (Duo Taptite) are mechanical thread fasteners with trilobular threads







Release screw (1).

Installation note:
Replace screw (1).

Tightening torque 72 11 04AZ.







Release oval-head screw (3) from automatic belt real.

Installation note:
Renew oval-head screw (3).

Tightening torque 72 11 02AZ.
Release hexagon screws (1).
Tightening torque 72 11 16AZ.
Release oval-head screws (2) from automatic belt real holder.
Tightening torque 72 11 16AZ.
Remove automatic belt reel.

Installation note:
Automatic belt reel is encoded against incorrect assembly.
Encoding must be seated in recess of automatic belt reel holder.
