DESCRIPTION

While conducting A/T oil pressure tests, the typical pressure reading for the "Reverse" kickdown brake, front clutch, and low-reverse brake is 213 psi (1470 kPa) at 1000 rpm. A pressure reading of approximately 142 psi (1000 kPa) at 1000 rpm is the minimum acceptable level, while a reading of about 319 psi (2240 kPa) at 1000 rpm is the maximum acceptable level. If pressure readings fall outside these readings during testing, refer to the Oil Pressure Troubleshooting Chart in Group 23 of the vehicle's service manual for further information.

As indicated in this bulletin, revise the A/T oil pressures shown in the Standard Oil Pressure Tables to read "1470 kPa (213 psi) or more".

Revise the "Reverse front clutch pressure and low-reverse brake pressure to read "1470 (213) or more".
