PURPOSE
The Service Information (Vacuum Hose Routing) Label is incorrect and must be changed on a limited number of 1990 Galant GS/GSX vehicles sold in California and the 49 States. A letter has been sent to the affected vehicle owners instructing them to install the Service Information Label themselves. A copy of the customer notification letter appears on page
2. Any vehicle owners who do not want to install the new label themselves have been advised by MMSA to ask their Mitsubishi Motors dealer to install the label, at no charge.
VEHICLES AFFECTED The only vehicles affected are those 1990 Galants that have the following incorrect Service Information Label part numbers:
California - MD128411 49 States - MD128886
PARTS INFORMATION
All customers will receive 1 (one) label along with their notifications. Should a customer misplace the label, a replacement can be obtained by contacting your District Service Manager. Replacement labels for this Service Campaign should not be ordered through the parts system.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
NONE - No warranty claim should be submitted for this campaign.
LABEL INSTALLATION
Open the hood. Locate the Service Information Label. Clean the old label of dirt and residue. Carefully remove the backing strip from the new label and apply over the old existing label.
