MODEL 1990 Precis
PURPOSE

On 1990 Precis vehicles manufactured after January 16, 1990 the A/C relay has been relocated from under the dash to the right fender near the battery. This bulletin shows:
the changes that are needed in the 1990 Precis Service Manual and the new wiring information. When diagnosis includes the A/C relay, refer to this Technical Service Bulletin for the necessary additional information. As a reference to this bulletin, please write the TSB number in the TSB Revision box on the affected pages.

MAJOR CHANGES

1. A new A/C relay with a mounting bracket and rubber cover is now located in the engine compartment, on the right fender, near the battery (Figure 1).

2. The EM01 connector between the main wiring harness and engine wiring harness changed from 13 to 17 terminals.

3. The air conditioning relay connector moved from the main wiring harness to the engine wiring harness (connector number changed trom M09 to E33). See the new circuit diagram.

4. A weld nut has been added to the right inner fender panel to retain the air conditioning relay.

NOTE: The A/C relay on vehicles built before January 16, 1990 is located under the dash as shown in Figure 2.
