Won't Fill; Oil Out Filler Tube; No Cooler Flow; Kills Engine in Gear
Most early units that do not use the adapter ring use (one) Type # 1 pump gasket.
NOTE:
WRONG GASKETS WILL COVER HOLES!
Use of the wrong pump gaskets can cause oil out the filler tube, no cooler flow, no converter fill, kills engine in drive, and no movement.
Always completely fill these units with gearshift in neutral so the converter is charged.
NOTE:
The converter is not charged in park)
Units with adapter ring use (two) Type # 2 pump gaskets, one between adapter & case and one between pump & adapter.
