Supplemental Recall Information

The warranty on the original 1990 California emission specification Precis vehicle catalytic converter (catalytic converters with dates before 900617, (decoded as 1990 June 17)) is extended to 10 years, 100,000 miles from date the vehicle was placed in service. This extended warranty does not apply to any replacement and/or replaced catalytic converters. Catalytic converters are inspected for physical internal damages, NOT FOR PERFORMANCE of the catalytic materials.

Note:
The vehicles effected can have any mileage to have the campaign performed. Once they come in, their original converter is covered for 10/100. For example, if a vehicle comes in with 110K miles they can have the recall performed. However, the additional warranty coverage will be "used-up" if the original catalytic converter was considered acceptable.
