1. Remove components in order as they appear in Figs. 6 through 8, noting the following:
a. Disconnect water inlet pipe and assembly (9 and 10) between radiator lower hose and heater hose.
b. Disconnect clutch release cylinder (16) and clutch oil tube (17) and suspend with wire to the chassis.
c. Disconnect speedometer cable (18) at transaxle.
d. Use steering linkage puller tool No. MB991113 or equivalent to remove the tie rod end (23) and lower arm ball joint (25) from knuckle.
e. Use a pry bar to remove lefthand side driveshaft (26) from bearing bracket, then suspend it with wire.
f. Use puller tool No. MB990241 or equivalent and a pry bar to remove righthand side driveshaft from hub.
g. Support transaxle assembly with a suitable jack, move slightly to the right and lower out of chassis.
h. Reverse procedure order to install.
