Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Disconnect tape and isolate battery ground cable terminal. Wait at least 30 seconds before proceeding.
3. Remove upper and lower steering column covers.
4. Remove righthand column switch attaching screws, then the righthand column switch.
5. Remove lefthand column switch attaching screws, then the lefthand column switch.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure no one is inside of vehicle, then rearm airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
