Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

1. Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge refrigerant from system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FREON RECOVERY.
3. Disconnect suction hose and liquid pipe from evaporator.
4. Remove glove box stoppers, then the glove box, Figs. 22 and 23.
5. Remove lower frame, then the righthand shower duct, if applicable.
6. Disconnect body wiring harness and A/C wiring harness connectors.
7. Remove A/C control unit.
8. Remove drain hose, then the evaporator.
9. Remove evaporator core from case as shown, Figs. 24 and 25.
10. Reverse procedure to install, rearming the airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
