AUTO-TENSIONER MOUNTING BOLT SEALING - SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

PURPOSE

This bulletin updates the 1991 3000GT Service Manual, adding auto-tensioner bolt sealing instructions. Whenever the auto-tensioner bolts are removed, apply sealant (3M T-3 Silicone, Part Number 8660 or equivalent) to the bolt's threads.

New replacement bolts with a white painted head, have sealant applied to the threads. These new bolts do not require additional sealant.

Please write "SEAL MOUNTING BOLT THREADS WITH 3M T-3 Silicone OR EQUIVALENT" and add an arrow to the mounting bolt.
