Transfer Case Visual Leakage Inspection

1. Carefully examine the transfer case for evidence of oil leakage. Look at the input shaft seal area, output shaft seal area, and the transfer case joints.





Note:
Slight seepage from the filler plug, drain plug, and the breather is normal and should not be considered leakage.

If leakage is not found, proceed to TRANSFER CASE OIL MEASUREMENT.

If leakage is found proceed to TRANSFER CASE REPLACEMENT instructions.
