PRECIS HIGH ALTITUDE EMISSION CAMPAIGN
This Emission Campaign bulletin replaces EMR-96-001 that was issued in July, 1996. It clarifies and corrects the repair kit installation procedure.
PURPOSE
1991-92 Precis models may produce increased exhaust emissions in high altitude driving conditions. This bulletin contains procedures to correct this condition by installing a high altitude modulator to the ECM and inspecting the catalytic converter and fuel pump.
A letter will be sent to all affected vehicle owners telling them to return their vehicles to their Mitsubishi Motors dealer for repairs to the emissions system. A copy of this letter appears in this bulletin.
To achieve the desired results, the procedures in this bulletin must be followed exactly as described. The customer should not be charged for any of the procedures covered in this bulletin.
