HIGH ALTITUDE EMISSIONS SYSTEM

Dear Mitsubishi Owner:

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. (MMSA) has determined that your 1991 or 1992 Precis may produce exhaust emissions in excess of the federal emissions standards when operated at high elevations. Consequently, MMSA is initiating this voluntary emissions campaign to ensure correction of this condition.

Call Your Dealer
Please contact your authorized Mitsubishi Motors Dealer immediately to schedule an appointment for corrective repair. The Module (ECM) and inspect the catalytic converter and fuel pump for proper operation. The dealer will replace one or both if found defective. These repairs will be performed free of charge to you.

NOTE: Failure to have this service performed may cause the vehicle to fail an emissions inspection test; as may be required under your state or local law.

How Long Will it Take?
Repairs will take from two to three hours to perform, but may take longer depending on your dealer's schedule.
