3-Minute (Temporary Operation)

When battery power to an anti-theft audio unit is interrupted for more than 1 hour, the audio unit will not operate. The "3-MINUTE MODE" feature allows technicians to check the audio unit functions.

Note:
The "3-MINUTE MODE" can only be used if the audio unit displays "c odE", not if the unit displays "0FF".

1. Locate the yellow Ignition Off-Draw (IOD) connector under the hood and verify it is in the "ON" position (pushed down).

2. Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" (Accessory) position.





3. Press and hold the "EJECT" button, then in addition press the "POWER" button. Release the buttons. The audio unit should operate normally for 3 minutes.

4. If necessary, this procedure can be repeated for another 3 minutes of operation.
