Sunroof Water Leak Correction

1. Unlatch and remove the sunroof assembly from the vehicle.

NOTE:
For some individuals, it may be helpful to use an assistant when handling the sunroof assembly.





2. Remove the two screws securing the latch to the latch mounting bar. Separate the latch from the sunroof and latch mounting bar.





3. Remove the latch mounting bar and rubber grommets from the sunroof. Apply a high-quality, clear silicone sealant to the underside of the bar, where it contacts the rubber grommets. (Use 3M Super Silicone Sealant, Clear, P/N 08661, or equivalent.)






4. Re-attach the latch mounting bar to the latch before the silicone sealant has set. After assembling the latch, remove excess sealant that may appear around the latch mounting bar.

Install the sunroof and secure the latch. If necessary, use an assistant while handling the sunroof.
