PURPOSE
This bulletin describes remote keyless entry systems available on most 1993 vehicles - see chart. All keyless entry systems are available only on vehicles equipped with power door locks. Each keyless entry system type operates the power door lock system, but their function and system operations are different. Operational characteristics and programming procedures for each system are described in this bulletin.
VEHICLE MODEL APPLICATION
GENERAL SYSTEM INFORMATION
When programming any system, move at least 75 feet from any vehicle that has a remote keyless entry system. This distance is necessary to avoid possible interference from other systems.
Note:
If a customer purchases a replacement transmitter, both transmitters must be available for programming. There is no way to determine which transmitter code should be overridden. This is true for all systems.
