TRW Dealer or Port of Entry Installed
TRWGeneral Information
This Remote Keyless Entry System is Port of Entry or dealer installed. When the LOCK button is pressed once, all doors lock. When the UNLOCK button is pressed, all doors unlock.
Automatic Door Unlock - Diamante only
For convenience, the TRW system can be programmed to automatically unlock all doors when the gearshift selector is moved from any gear position to PARK.
Note:
If the vehicle is equipped with a factory alarm system (ETACS Theft Alarm) and the alarm is triggered, the keyless entry transmitter will silence the alarm by pressing any button. The ignition key will also silence the alarm.
Programming
Note:
The receiver can store a maximum of two transmitter codes. Both transmitters must be coded when replacing either transmitter.
1. Connect the program jumper wire to the program connector. The doors should lock, then unlock.
2. Press either button on the first transmitter. The control module will lock and then unlock all doors.
If there is a second transmitter, press either button. Again, the control module will lock and then unlock all doors.
3. If programming is complete, remove the jumper wire.
Note:
Anytime the program jumper is removed, programming is complete. If additional programming is needed both transmitters must be reprogrammed.
Automatic Door Unlock Programming - Diamante Only
If the customer desires, the Diamante can be programmed to automatically unlock the door when the transmission gear selector is placed in PARK.
1. While in the program mode, with one programmed transmitter, press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons three times sequentially:
lock, unlock,
lock, unlock,
lock, unlock,
The system will lock, then unlock the doors all three times. The receiver has now been programmed for automatic door unlocking.
2. Repeat this procedure if you want to program the second transmitter for this function. Don't forget to remove the program jumper.
Note:
Anytime the program jumper is removed, programming is complete. If additional programming is needed both transmitters must be reprogrammed.
