PURPOSE

This bulletin contains information to decode the Vehicle Identification Number on all 1993 MMSA cars and trucks. The information is presented in four (4) sections. Mitsubishi Motors Corp., Japan models are shown, Diamond Star Motors (Eclipse), Hyundai Motor Company (Precis), and Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd. (Diamante Wagon).

NOTE:
Digits in positions 4, 5, 7 & 8 are different from '92 models. Refer to TSB-92-00-005 for all MMSA models from 19634992.
