Evaporative Emissions System: Description and Operation
Evaporative System Overview:
The Evaporative Emission Control System prevents fuel vapors entering the atmosphere. The Evaporative Emission Control System consists of a Pressure/Vacuum Relief Filler Cap, an Overfill Limiter (Two-way Valve), Rollover Safety Check Valves, a Charcoal Canister, and connecting lines and hoses. Canister purging is controlled by the Engine Control unit through the Purge Control Solenoid Valve.
