Engine Control System

NOTE:
1. Do not open or replace the engine control module until a thorough terminal check reveals there are no shorted/open circuits.
2. After the engine control module detects a malfunction, a diagnostic trouble code is recorded when the engine is next started and the same malfunction is re-detected. However for items marked with an "* ", the diagnostic trouble code is recorded on the first detection of the malfunction.
3. O2 = Heated Oxygen Sensor.
4. Sensor 1 indicates sensors mounted closest to the engine.
5. Sensor 2 indicates sensors mounted next closest to the engine.
