Inspection Procedure 2

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check the worn brake lining.
If faulty, replace it. Then go to Step 7.
If normal, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check the grease or oil on lining surface.
If faulty, replace it. Then go to Step 7.
If normal, go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check the parking brake cable sticking.
If faulty, replace it. Then go to Step 7.
If normal, go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Check the stuck wheel cylinder.
If faulty, replace it. Then go to Step 7.
If normal, go to Step 5.

STEP 5. Check the excessive parking brake lever stroke.
If faulty, adjust the parking brake lever stroke or check the parking brake cable routing. Then go to Step 7.
If normal, go to Step 6.

STEP 6. Check the auto adjuster malfunction.
If faulty, replace it. Then go to Step 7.

STEP 7. Check symptoms.
Check that the malfunction is eliminated.
