REAR BRAKE NOISE

This bulletin supercedes TSB-06-35-002, to include all Sportback models. Revisions are indicated by shaded black arrow.

PURPOSE

On some affected vehicles, customers may complain of brake noise during light brake pedal application when backing up at slow speeds, typically when the brakes are cold. To improve this condition, replace the rear brake pads using the new, improved parts listed in this bulletin.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

2004-05 Lancer Ralliart and Lancer Sportback produced before 11/1/05

PROCEDURE

If brake noise occurs during light brake pedal application, replace the rear brake pads on both sides, using the new, improved pads listed below. Refer to Group 35 in the appropriate service manual.
