Stanza Wagon
1. Cut template as shown in the sample below (actual templates are provided on pages 10-11 of this procedure).
2. Fold rear seat forward.
3. Place template in the position shown below. Line up the guide hole and tape the template into place. Trace around the inside of the template with a suitable marker.
4. Loosen rear portion of sliding door sill plate.
5. Loosen the original rear belt retractor unit finisher and pull back the upper half of the wheelhouse finisher.
6. Remove original male belt and retractor unit.
7. Using a knife or razor, cut out the access hole for the retro-fit retractor unit at the marked area on the wheelhouse finisher.
8. Remove the rear quarter glass by removing the mounting screws as shown below:
9. Loosen the rear quarter glass welt/seal which surrounds the quarter panel finisher. Remove the quarter panel finisher.
10. Using the measurements shown below, mark the hole location in the quarter finisher for the retro-fit upper anchor.
11. Drill a 1" hole in the finisher at the marked location.
12. Reinstall quarter panel finisher and welt/seal.
13. Reinstall quarter glass.
14. Thread 3-point lower anchor through access hole in front portion of wheelhouse finisher.
15. Install lower anchor and torque bolt to 26-32 ft.lbs. (3.65-4.65 kg/m).
16. Thread belt through access hole in wheelhouse finisher and install retro-fit retractor unit as illustrated below. Torque mounting bolt to 26-32 ft.lbs. (3.65-4.65 kg/m). Be sure to install locating screw.
17. Secure top half of wheelhouse finisher that was pulled back.
18. Install belt access finisher over retractor unit.
19. Install upper anchor and torque bolt to 26-32 ft.lbs. (3.65-4.65 kg/m).
20. Remove original female buckle and replace with retro-fit buckle. Torque anchor bolt to 26-32 ft.lbs. (3.65-4.65 kg/m).
21. Check for smooth operation of the 3-point belt and buckle.
22. Secure sliding door sill plate.
