SERVICE INFORMATION:

Drivers may complain of smelling outside air (such as pollution and/or exhaust) due to the recirculation switch turning off automatically after ten (10) minutes operation.

REPAIR INFORMATION:
For Maxima(J30) vehicles, from the 1993 model year, the ATC recirculation ten minute timer has been eliminated in the control unit. In the systems revised logic, the recirculation mode will be maintained continuously after pressing the recirculation button. The new control unit can be applied to 1989-1992 Maxima(J30) vehicles to eliminate the recirculation timer.
