MAXIMA JUMP START PROCEDURE


APPLIED MODEL: 1989 - 1992 Maxima (J30)








SERVICE INFORMATION:

Jump-Starting the applied model under certain conditions may cause damage to the Power Window Switches resulting in their improper operation. This can be prevented by following the procedure listed below when jump-starting the vehicle.

1. Prior to jump-starting, remove the Power Window Fusible Link.

2. Jump-start the vehicle.

3. Reinstall the Power Window Fusible Link.

The Power Window Fusible Link is marked "P/WIND" and is located in the Fuse Box in the engine compartment. The Fuse Box is located as indicated below:
