This incident was corrected in production on March 20, 1991. JN1HJ01P(*)MT571467.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Some J30 Maximas may produce a creaking or knocking noise from the front suspension during braking.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

If the vehicle exhibits the above symptom during braking and its' V.I.N. and Manufacturing Dates are prior to the above baseline V.I.N./Manufacturing Date, replace the rear bushing for the front transverse link.

This operation should be performed on both sides of the vehicle to ensure uniform vehicle behavior during braking and suspension travel.
