Meter Cluster and Ventilator Duct

SYMPTOM:
Buzzing noise develops around the instrument panel while driving.

REPAIR INFORMATION:





Repair the looseness of the ventilator ducts and their shut valve linkages according to the following procedures.

Tools Reguired:
Screwdriver, Silicone Grease, Permatex Dielectric Grease, P/N 67VR, or equivalent.

Method:

1. Remove the steering column cover, lower instrument cover, switch panel, and cluster lid "A".
2. Tighten screws securing cluster lid "A" and the ventilator duct.
3. Apply silicone grease to the ventilator shut valve linkages and the shafts [inside and outside of the shafts].
4. Install any parts removed.
