Expansion Valve: Service and Repair

The expansion valve is located in the cooling unit, attached to the evaporator core.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge A/C system.
2. Remove passenger side instrument lower cover and glove compartment.
3. Disconnect wiring harness connectors to intake unit.
4. Remove intake unit.
5. Disconnect wiring harness connectors to evaporator.
6. Remove cooling unit.
7. Separate cooling unit case halves and remove evaporator, Fig. 7.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
