Warning Chime/System Description

The warning chime is a part of the combination meter and is controlled by the Time Control System.
Power is supplied at all times
^ through 10 A fuse (No. (20), located in the fuse block)
^ to time control module terminal (9),
^ combination meter terminal (32), and
^ key switch terminal (a).
Power is supplied at all times
^ through 15 A fuse (No. (23) located in the fuse block)
^ to lighting switch terminal (11).
With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied
^ through 10 A fuse (No. (26) located in the fuse block)
^ to time control module terminal (6).
Ground is supplied to time control module terminal (15) through body grounds (M51), (M76) and (M77).
When a signal, or combination of signals, is received by the time control module, ground is supplied
^ through time control module terminal (18)
^ to combination meter terminal (36).
With power and ground supplied, the warning chime will sound.

Ignition key warning chime
With the key in the ignition switch in the OFF position, and the driver's door open, the warning chime will sound. A battery positive voltage signal is sent
^ from key switch terminal (b)
^ to time control module terminal (19)
Ground is supplied
^ from front door switch LH terminal (a)
^ to time control module terminal (10).
Front door switch LH terminal (c) is grounded through body grounds (B6) and (B14).

Light warning chime
With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the driver's door open, and the lighting switch in the PARK or HEAD position, the warning chime will sound. A battery positive voltage signal is sent
^ from lighting switch terminal (12)
^ to time control module terminal (7).
Ground is supplied
^ from front door switch LH terminal (a)
^ to time control module terminal (10).

Seat belt warning chime
With the ignition switch turned from the OFF position to the ON position, and the seat belt unfastened (seat belt switch ON), the warning chime will sound for approximately 7 seconds.
Ground is supplied
^ from seat belt switch terminal (b)
^ to time control module terminal (20).
Seat belt switch terminal (a) is grounded through body grounds (B6) and (B14).
